Michael Tureniec

Swedish born Michael Tureniec was introduced to poker in 2003 by a friend and by 2006 decided he could support himself by making it a full time career. He is now a sponsored pro at Full Tilt Poker. Cashing at his first World Series of Poker Main Event in 2007, Michael went on to make his first major cash one year later at the 2008 European Poker Tour when he placed 2nd in the £5,200 Main Event, winning $960K+ in prize money. In late 2008 he won the €1,000 No-Limit Hold 'em event at the Master Classics of Poker in Amsterdam for more than $200K and in 2009 he placed 19th in the Aussie Millions AUD $10,000 No-Limit Hold 'em event, winning over $35K. Michael’s tournament earnings to date total over $1.2 million. He is also an established online poker player.
