Poker Books
From Poker Wiki
Since poker reached mainstream popularity in the early 70s there has been an explosion in books aiming to teach and educate players in basic poker strategy. Nowadays there exist thousands of different publications to choose from when looking for either bedtime reading or a full poker education.
As with poker, poker publications have been around since the game began. Typically speaking, hardcore poker players keep a library of some of the best poker books by authors such as, but not limited to, David Slansky, Dan Harrington and even Phil Gordon.
When looking for poker books, it is important to do a bit of research beforehand and ensure that the book is both accurate, easy to follow and by an authority on poker. In the past, many unscrupulous authors have quite happily produced sub-par works of literature in the attempt to make some quick money at the expense of novice gamblers.
