When I need to take a bathroom break badly, I sometimes don't feel like sitting out on all my tables, so I wait for a spot when I'm not involved in any hands and make a run for it. I often come back with a few decisions pending, sometimes sitting out on a few tables, but nothing extraordinary ever happened before this cursed day :

I was 6 tabling NL200 on party poker and some of the tables were badbeat jackpot. So I do my routine, run to the restroom, run back and see on one table that I hold 8h7h on the cutoff. It's unopened to me and I have 3-4 seconds left to make a decision. Of course, I want to raise, I put in 6$ but right when I'm about to click raise, the timer runs out and I fold. No big deal I'm thinking while already switching my attention to other tables.

The flop caught my attention though... 9hTh2s... I would have flopped a sweet draw I told myself. The action went bet/raise/reraise until both players were all-in. You guessed it, one had 99 the other KhQh... and the turn... oh the turn... the Jh... The *$&/?$*$/&*%$ Jh...

This hand would have qualified for the bad beat jackpot had I been in it as I was supposed to be... This bathroom break cost me over 38 000$... And I must admit, I'm on life tilt ever since...

Well, I think it doesn't fit in the bad beat category but it definitely fits in the sad story category...
I was playing NL100 six max some time ago. It was a bad beat jackpot table and I was having a downswing in that week, and was getting kind of upset about it...

    The hand:
A sort of tight villain raises from CO 3$ and I call on the button with 9s9c.
    Flop: 8h9hTh
Villain C-bets 4.5$ and I decide to call, because I knew he liked a lot to play suited cards and I was hopping the board paired.
    Turn: 9d
Ok, the board DID paired (and way better than I expected!) and the villain continues betting for close to 75% of the pot and I decide to reraise him and he goes all in for an effective stack of ~130$. I was happy and before clicking call I told my friend that was watching me play at the time "hey, I think my downswing is coming to an end " and he answered while laughing "well, he could have a straight flush lol" and I laughed and said "well, that way it would be even better, I'd win the bad beat jackpot! (still laughing)".

I called. He shows 6h7h. I started "OH MY GOD!!!".

    River: Jh

If I tell you that to get the bad beat jackpot in that room both players need to use both hole cards you will understand why I instantly closed my laptop with the others tables running.

    Bad/Sad Story

Late in Day 1 of the 06' WSOP Main Event (my 1st time playing a live major) I'm dealt pocket J's & threw a chip in larger than the blinds (figuring the dealer would take it as a raise, since I had many chips of the blind denomination in my stack), but since I didn't verbally announce a raise, he took it as a call. My opponent (who limped pre) shoves all-in on a board with 2 A's, after debating for a long period of time, my read tells me he's bluffing trips, so I make a phenomenal call & pick off his bluff attempt. He flipped over deuces, says "nice call", and proceeds to hit a runner runner gutshot str8 to beat my J's & A's & knock me out of the tourney. Just goes to show that if you lose your concentration, you can be gone in a second!

This was one of my worst beats, I have about a million screenshots of my bad beats but this one was especially bad. I was playing omaha with a guy ( I played him nearly every day for 6 months ) and we HATED each other. We would actively search each other out with the "friends list" options and have grudge matches every day. This day he had a rabbits foot in his @$$ ! i've got AAXX vs his 3456. the flop comes Ac 4c 5c. he has 2 pair and makes a pot bet. Me scared of the flush call. next card BINGO Ac 4c 5c..4s He pot bets his small house and I pounce to my doom. all in the river comes the 1 outter Ac 5c 4c 4s .. 4d.... he has running quads vs my aces full for the win and BRAGGING RIGHTS FOR LIFE!

Played 3 players left in a PLO 2day, I was CL and tangled with the no2, guy was pretty agressive postflop, he limped the SB and I pot my QJJT and villain calls a flop of J55 wich is basically the nuts so after he leads out on the flop I planned on calling him and reevaluate the turn a harmless 10 came. He pots the turn where we are basically allin. Painfull river.
