No chance. Gambling is as old as history (actually older than history

Besides being such an entrenched part of human behavior and culture, mathematically speaking, probabilistic issues are fundamental to human life, more than is generally understood, and probabilistic games will only become more popular as time goes on, for that and other reasons.

    Thanks for your reply, Akorps!

So you don't think it will even be replaced by online gaming? You think real life socializing is a key part of it?

We recently conducted a survey to find out more about our players general poker and gaming habits. You can read our blog post of findings here if you're interested

No way. Kids will be pitching pennies at school, teenagers in the back streets will be playing dice, hoodlums will be staging dog fights, drinkers will be gambling on sporting events with each other in bars while watching TV, soothsayers will be reading fortunes from tossed bones, etc. etc. Historically it is way more ingrained in human behavior than is generally realized, and much more important mathematically than is realized. Not everyone is going to have access to the internet, high tech is more like the frosting on the cake, most people will be living in a face to face world

Just think.... There are still far too many 3rd world countries that exist in this world (one is too many). If there are still homes that have yet to have telephones, televisions, and scarily enough, running water. After this many years that these things have been in most of our homes. It is highly unlikely that all of the world will be online by 2050.

From what I have seen in life, most of the people that gamble are not exactly wealthy. The further down the people stand financially, the more they gain from winning.

Since I don't see a point that the entire population of the world is online. Then I do not imagine any point of which face to face gaming will no longer exist.

Birck and mortar casinos will always be alive and well. Nothing replaces the feeling of playing live. Casinos will evolve , some already honor your online bankroll and let you transfer to chips. Just look at ultimate poker. Hopefully Casinos will up the ante with entertainment factor and not just gambling. Making going to the casino like going to a gaming amusement park and not just about grinding out a buck. Some already have and some have not. With technology it's always survival of the fittest. Those who adapt and embrace the new digital world will thrive, those who do not will die. P.s. Darwin was one hell of a poker player betcha didn't know that!

Unfortunately I live in a state which has Blocked all these sites Kentucky I am playing at Lock poker now. It's the only site I've found that KY is not blocked at. I have raked about 1500 with the limited play during the move they have made to Lock 2.0. I would freakin LOVE to go I've never been to a casino in my LIFE. If I rake 10k you should take this ol' country boy along. j/k but seriously Is there anyway I can qualify from Lock?
