    Rake Race question

I was just wondering if the point about speed tables vs regular tables had ever been bought up before. Having both player pools together in rakeraces i feel is quite an unfair advantage to speed table players. Because one speed table is the equivalent of two or three regular tables. So this gives a massive and quite unfair advantage to speed table players.

Wouldn't it be fairer to have some sort of opt in system for rakeraces where speed table players and regular table players have separate rakeraces to make the system a'lot fairer for each player.Or maybe even have an individual rakerace for each player to hit certain targets.Rakeraces are almost a non entity for regular table players as they are just a very unlevel playing field.
Thanks for your time in reading this.

    Hi YNWA

I dont think this has been brought up before.
I think there would need to be some analysis on the two variants.

For example (and i haven't checked this) I would expect that average rake for speed tables is lower since there are fewer flops.

That aside, the rooms do not provide rake stats to us that separates out all the different types of game, so having 2 different races isn't possible!

    Hope that helps a little.
    Best wishes

I'm not sure what site i see this on but some sites do an individual rakerace. So you don't compete vs other players to climb the money ladder. It's just a personal achievement goal to climb the ladder in an individuals rakerace each month.

Not that this is a big issue for me , it's just something that popped into my head while thinking about swapping to speed tables. My personal preference is regular tables playing between two and four tables. As i find speed tables a bit hectic for my self. But thanks for the response.

    TY.

Ah yes those are rake chases.
They work for some rooms and not for others and they work for some people and not for others...
It's the classic old saying...you can please some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time. But you can't please all of the people all of the time!

    Cheers
    Best wishes
