The World Poker Tour is definitely one of the biggest casino poker organizations in the world. And this is a big reason why so many people are anticipating the opening of the WPT’s ninth season, which begins with the Bellagio Cup on July 11th.
Seeing as how it costs $10,300 to enter the Bellagio Cup, most people will be sticking to online poker. However, the great thing is that you have a chance to get into the Bellagio Cup for much cheaper just by playing at Full Tilt Poker.
Full Tilt will give out three different $12,000 prize packages to players who play in select qualifiers and free poker tournaments. $10,300 will obviously go towards paying the Bellagio Cup VI Main Event entry fee while the remaining $1,700 will be put towards covering the travel and hotel expenses at the holdem poker tournament.
If you’re interested in winning any of the three prize packages, the main qualifiers will be held on the following dates: June 29th at 21:00 ET ($300 + $22 buy-in), July 1st at 21:00 ET ($1,000 + $60 buy-in), and July 4th at 16:30 ($600 + $40 buy-in).
Of course, buy-ins ranging from $322 to $1,060 can get pretty pricey so you might want to consider the free poker tournaments and cheaper satellites. The cheapest satellites are only $1 or 50 Full Tilt Points while you can also play in $3 + $0.30 Steps Tournaments, which offer people a chance to move up the steps and towards a $12k prize package.
Whatever poker tournament you choose to play in, it’s definitely worth it to try and satellite your way into the Bellagio Cup. Bellagio Cup VI is going to offer a multi-million prize pool, and the winner is expected to haul in over $1 million again just like winner Alexandre Gomes did ($1,187,670).
