There are so many online poker sites that offer WSOP prize packages these days that it’s often hard to sort through them and find the ones best for you. In fact most of the deals are pretty much exactly the same – they offer a Main Event seat along with some spending money and hotel accommodations. Of course there’s certainly nothing wrong with competing in the world’s biggest poker tournament with a comped hotel room, but some players are looking for something a little different…
This is where PKR really stands out – their WSOP experience packages focus on hanging out and partying in Las Vegas, rather than just playing poker. The party-packed itinerary for each of their $4,500 experience packages is as follows:
July 3rd – Arrive in Las Vegas and attend an evening drinks reception
July 4th – Dinner for all PKR qualifiers
July 5th – Play in Event #59 ($1,000 NLHE)
July 6th – Official PKR party
July 7th – Surprise
July 8th – PKR pool party
July 9th – Leave for home
As you can see, PKR doesn’t intend for qualifiers to head up to their rooms and fall asleep early while watching the evening news; they want their players to party! If this sounds like just your thing then there are several ways that you can win a $4,500 WSOP experience package. Keep in mind that when you sign up at PKR through RakeTheRake you’ll get a 30% rakeback deal. This PKR top rakeback deal effectively cuts down substantially the tournament fees that you’d pay in satellites listed below.
1,200 PP Feeder (5 players) SNG – One in five players qualify for Stage 1 satellite.
$2.64 Stage 1 – Runs eight times daily, one in five players qualify for Quarter-Final.
$11.70 Quarter-Final – Happens five times daily, one in five players win a Semi-Final seat.
$53.50 Semi-Final – Runs two times daily, one in five players earn a Final Stage ticket.
$245 Final Stage – Takes place every Monday at 19:15 GMT, one in 20 players will win a $4,500 experience package.
If you’re feeling lucky, another way to book your ticket to Vegas and the PKR parties is through the experience package lotteries. In these, PKR randomly draws winners who will advance to the next level, and here are the details:
700 PP Lottery Feeder (5 players) – One in five qualifies for Stage 1.
$1 Lottery Stage 1 – Runs eight times daily, one in five qualifies for Quarter-Final.
$4.60 Lottery Quarter-Final – Happens five times daily, one in five qualifies for Semi-Final.
$22 Lottery Semi-Final – Runs once a day, one in five qualifies for Final.
$105 Lottery Final – Held monthly on Apr. 9th, May 14th and June 18th at 20:15 GMT. One in 45 players wins a $4,500 experience package.
One final way that you can grab a $4.5k package is through the Vegas Nights promotion. Vegas Nights tournaments are held every night at 21:50 (GMT) until April 15th, and 20% of each prize pool is set aside for a massive freeroll on April 22nd, where WSOP Experience Packages will be given out (number of packages depends on prize pools generated). If you don’t participate during this promotional period, another Vegas Nights promo will run from April 16th to June 3rd, with the freeroll taking place on June 10th.
As long as you play in at least one Vegas Nights tourney you’ll qualify for the freeroll, but the goal here is to participate in as many Vegas Nights tournaments as possible because your freeroll chip stack depends on your participation. You can see how the variable chip stack works below:
Vegas Nights (Speed) Tournaments – Daily at 21:50 GMT, $10 buy-in (plus 1 rebuy or add-on) on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday; $20 buy-in SNG (6-player) on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
- 100 chips added to freeroll stack for every Vegas Nights tourney played; e.g. 8 tournaments played = 800 chips
- Bonus chips added for reaching a certain number of tournaments played; 10 tourneys = 1,000 bonus chips, 20 tourneys = 3,000 bonus chips, 35 or more tourneys = 8,000 bonus chips
Vegas Nights Freerolls take place on April 22nd and June 10th at 17:30 GMT – both freerolls are expected to have at least three $4,500 experience packages available.
