Run over a five week period during January and February 2013, RakeTheRake in association with Pokerstars have put up a £6,000 prize fund to find the best poker player from the gaming community.
As well as offering four freeroll qualifiers, each with their own £250 prize pot, gamers will battle it out for two seats each week in the grand finals where they will also pit their skills against former gamer turned poker professional Max Silver.
Max has won over $150,000 in the last 12 months and will play in the Grand Final against the eight qualifiers for a cool £5,000 prize pot in Texas no limit hold’em.
Entry in to the tournament is free of charge and players can play in as many of the qualifiers as they want, running each week on a Wednesday evening from January 16th 2013.
Note that entry to each qualifier must be made at least 5 days before the actual tournament. The first cut-off date for qualifier one is 2am GMT Friday 11th January. You can still enter the qualifiers after this date, but you will be placed in the next available qualifier, in this case the 23rd January qualifier two. The final cut-off date for qualifier four is 2am GMT Friday 1st February after which entries for qualifiers will not be eligible to play.
