Carbon Poker running $10k in March Chip King Freerolls

Already known as one of the top destinations for big freerolls, Carbon Poker is adding an extra $10,000 worth of freerolls in March. These free tournaments will be held through the Chip King promotion, which is running now until March 31st.

To participate in Chip King, you simply need to earn 50 VIP points at some point during the month. Seeing as players collect 10 points for every $1 in tournament or cash game rake contributed, these requirements are pretty light. It’s definitely to your advantage to earn 50 points as quickly as possible so that you can play in the freerolls right away. Now here’s a quick look at available free poker tournaments along with the qualification periods (all times server time):

• March 10th at 16:00 – $1,000 prize pool, qualification period is from March 1st-8th.


• March 17th at 16:00 – $1,500 prize pool, qualification period is from March 1st-15th.


• March 24th at 16:00 – $2,500 prize pool, qualification period is from March 1st-22nd.


• March 31st at 16:00 – $5,000 prize pool, qualification period is from March 1st-29th; only the top 50 VIP point earners are eligible.

As you can see above, the $5k freeroll is restricted to the top 50 point earners during the promotional period. But in regard to the other three freerolls, it’s not overly-difficult to rake $5 total and get into these tourneys.

Also don’t forget that Chip King freeroll chip stacks are dependent on how many points you earn during the qualification period. Sure you only need 50 points to enter the first three tournaments; however, you stand a better chance of winning by collecting more points. Take a look at this information below:

• 50 - 99.9 VIP Points = 250 chips for your starting stack


• 100 - 249.9 VIP Points = 500 chips


• 250 - 499.9 VIP Points = 750 chips


• 500 - 999.9 VIP Points = 1,000 chips


• 1,000 VIP Points or more = Unique stack that rises with points earned

One more thing worth mentioning is that anybody who wishes to participate in Chip King needs to visit their Carbon ‘Player Admin’ area and opt-in to the promotion. This ensures that the points count towards getting you into the Chip King freerolls.
