If sit and go poker tournaments are your game, then you’ll love the new deal that Absolute Poker is offering. Those who play poker in Absolute’s SNG’s will have a chance to win one of the 45 seats seats to either the Sunday $200,000 Guaranteed, or the Wednesday $80,000 Sniper tournament.

To be eligible for a seat, you just have to meet one of the following weekly requirements:

- Play in five designated $6 SNG’s, and you’ll be entered into a Wednesday free poker tournament where the top 10 players earn seats for the $80k Sniper tourney.
- Play in ten designated $6 SNG’s, and you’ll get into a Sunday freeroll where 10 seats to the $200k Guaranteed are being given away.
- Play in five designated $11 SNG’s, and you’ll be entered into a Wednesday freeroll where the top 20 players win seats for the $80k Sniper tourney.
- Play in five designated $11 SNG’s, and you’ll gain entry into a Sunday freeroll where 20 seats are being given away for the $200k Guaranteed.

All you have to do to get into these freerolls is play….you don’t have to win or even cash. And seeing as how the buy-ins for the required sit and go’s are pretty low, you don’t need to risk much money to get into these freerolls.

Both the $200k Guaranteed and $80k Sniper tournament are great events where players win tons of money each week. The winner of the $200k always walks away with $40,000 or more, while the Sniper tourney allows players to earn bounties on every player they knock out of the tournament.

Of course, the biggest reward of all to playing in these events is that you can cash in on Absolute Poker’s 30% rakeback deals. This excellent offer ensures that you’ll be spending far less in tournament rake every week.

One of the most popular online poker deals ever is the bad beat jackpot offered at Ultimate Bet Poker. This jackpot is always worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, and it has grown as high as $800,000 in the past.

And while it may not be big poker news to the regulars at UB, the bad beat jackpot is steadily climbing to massive amounts once again since it’s currently worth over $570,000. The payout structure for the bad beat jackpot works like this:

- The loser gets 50%
- The winner gets 25%
- The rest of the players dealt into the hand get at least $1,000 each
- The remaining 35% goes to refunding the jackpot and paying the CEREUS Network.

In the case of this $570,000-plus jackpot, the loser would get $285,000, the winner would receive $142,500, and the rest of the players in the hand would receive at least $1,000. With all of the money on the table here, it’s no wonder why players are rushing to Ultimate Bet to lose poker hands.

UB poker pro Annie Duke summed up the importance of the UB bad beat jackpot when she said, “Another life altering jackpot is about to be hit at UB’s online poker tables and it’s all for a losing hand of cards. One lucky Texas Hold’em player is about to win in a day more than most people earn in a year at the office. It’s incredible!”

Ultimate Bet isn’t the only place where you can win the bad beat jackpot since Absolute Poker is also part of the CEREUS Network. In addition to the bad beat jackpot, you can sign up for the 30% rakeback deals that both UB and Absolute Poker have. The amount of cash you’ll save with rakeback will give you more chances at the CEREUS Network bad beat jackpot!

In Perfect 3, you compete in the same leaderboard format, except the tournaments only cost $3 + $0.30 to enter; in all, $26,000 will be given out through the Perfect 3 leaderboard. The player who finishes with the most cash on both the Perfect 10 and Perfect 3 poker tournament leaderboards combined will receive an additional $2,500 (called the Perfect Player Bonus).

If you’ve ever thought of playing at Ultimate Bet Poker, then now is the time to do it since they are giving away $1,000,000 through their poker tournament leaderboards. Whether you are seeking a weekly, monthly, or yearly prize, there is lots of cash to be won in this promotion.

The best thing about the tournament leaderboards at UB is that you don’t need to do anything except play poker. The leaderboard takes care of itself since you earn points for cashing in poker games at Ultimate Bet. Of course, your goal should be to finish as high as possible in lots of online poker tournaments since leaderboards award more points for higher finishes.

There will be two different leaderboards offered through this promotion in the MTT Leaderboard and the Sit and Go Leaderboard. The weekly competition on each board takes the top 10 tourney finishes during the week to determine a holdem poker player’s finish. The monthly board takes the top 20 finishes to determine winners while the yearly leaderboard counts the top 100 finishes throughout the year.

The top finisher in the weekly Leaderboard race will win $1,000 while the first place finisher on the monthly Leaderboard will bring home $6,500; the top 10 players share a $14,000 prize pool on the monthly board. First place on the yearly leaderboard is where the real money is since the winner gets a $10,000 WSOP* prize package along with $10,000 in cash. Even second place gets a $10k WSOP* package along with $5,500 in cash while third place earns $10,000. In all, the top 50 yearly finishers will earn cash while the top 200 players will be invited to a $36,000 free poker tournament.

On top of all this, players can also earn 30% in rakeback cash through all of the tournaments they play at Ultimate Bet. This is just one of the many great online poker deals at UB!

Lots of people are already winning major cash in the big tournaments and free poker events at Carbon Poker. However, Carbon is looking to give away even more money in their Tourney King promotion.

What’s great about the Tourney King promo is that players will be earning extra money on top of what they already make by playing in poker games. The way it works is that online poker players will be competing on two different leaderboards depending upon their poker tournament buy-in. The two leaderboards are the Low Limit Leaderboard and the High Limit Leaderboard; the difference is that the Low Limit Leaderboard is for tournaments with buy-ins of less than $19.99 while the High Limit board is for buy-ins of $20 or more.

So if you decide to play in a holdem poker tournament where the buy-in is $15 and you cash in this tourney, you’ll receive points for the Low Limit Leaderboard. The amount of points varies depending upon the amount of entrants, the buy-in, and your finish, but Carbon has a calculator for you to use when determining points.

If you’re able to play poker well enough to finish in the top 250 spots of either the Low Limit or High Limit Leaderboard, you’ll get to play in the monthly Grand Final tournament. This is where the cash is given out to internet poker players, and the top 50 will all receive a cash prize. Of course, you want to be at the top of the list because this is where the big money is with 1st place on the High Limit Leaderboard receiving $3,000. 1st place on the Low Limit Leaderboard will also get a nice sum of money at $1,500.

Because of the fact that the Grand Final is a freeroll, you can’t go wrong with playing for a spot in it. You’ll also be able to collect 35% in rakeback when you play tournaments at Carbon.

While playing online poker and collecting rakeback is always great, sometimes people just want to play tournament poker. Unfortunately, most people have chosen not to play poker in the WSOP * Circuit tournaments in recent years. This has led the organization to undergo some major changes in an effort to bring more casino poker players out.

Perhaps the biggest change so far is that the Main Event will no longer feature a $5,000 buy-in. Instead the Main Event will only cost $1,500, which is sure to draw more players to the felt. The reason why this is being done is because the Circuit hopes to attract large fields of holdem poker players; this in turn should attract more pros looking to take advantage of the weaker players.

Besides the Main Event buy-in change, there will also be a Regional Championship at four different stops along the way. These poker games are aimed at the high rollers since the buy-in is $10,000, and Regional Championships will be put on TV too. The television aspect and high buy-in should certainly attract many of poker’s top pros.

One more huge change that should bring players out in hordes is that the Circuit will hold a $1 million National Championship at the end of the Circuit season. According to poker rules, anybody who has accumulated the most points at any of the 12 Circuit stops, won a $1,500 Main Event, made the final poker table of a Regional Championship, or winds up in the top 36 of the Circuit points standings will play for the $1 million. In all, 100 players will have a chance to compete for cash in this million dollar freeroll.

Since the Circuit is back and bigger than ever, it would be a good idea to check poker sites to see if they’re offering any qualifiers for prize packages.

In just three weeks, Full Tilt Poker will be launching yet another rendition of their flagship event. The Full Tilt Online Poker Series XVII will kick off on August 4th with a huge $750,000 Guaranteed poker tournament. In all, 34 different tournaments will be held, and $19 million in guaranteed prize money is slated to be given away.

Some of the poker games that will be offered during FTOPS XVII include Omaha, H.O.R.S.E., Stud, Razz, and of course texas poker. In addition to the different poker variations offered, 6 of the tournaments are going to have Rush Poker formats. For those of you who haven’t heard of Rush Poker, this is where Full Tilt whisks people away to another poker table as soon as they’re done playing poker hands at the previous table.

Those of you who are interested in playing any of the FTOPS XVII tourneys should download the Full Tilt Poker software soon because there’s not much time until the event begins.

The biggest tournament in FTOPS XVII will definitely be the Main Event on August 15th; this tourney will have a $3,000,000 guaranteed prize pool along with a buy-in of $640. Obviously not everyone can afford a buy-in this high so there will be satellites and free poker tournaments running up until the Main Event starts for people who want to win a seat.

Aside from the $3 million Main Event, there will also be a $1,000,000 6-Max hold’em poker event ($254 buy-in) on August 15th as well as another $750,000 Guaranteed ($163 buy-in) on the same day; these tournaments are of course before the Main event. You might also want to take a look at the $2,000,000 Guaranteed tourney ($2,100 buy-in) on August 14th, the $1,250,000 Guaranteed ($1,060) on August 9th, and the $1,250,000 Guaranteed ($322) on August 8th.

The end of summer is usually a sad occasion since it marks the time when people have to start raking leaves, wear warmer clothing, and pretend they’re not home when Trick or Treaters come around. However, the end of summer is a joyous occasion for those who play poker at Ultimate Bet because this is when they hold the UB Online Championship – a.k.a. UBOC.

The fifth installment of the UBOC will run from August 18th to August 29th, and will offer 20 tournaments with the culmination being a $1,000,000 Guaranteed Championship poker tournament. And for those holdem poker players who are still working on building up their bankroll, the Mini UBOC will offer cheaper tournaments that mirror the regular UBOC.

Altogether, the combined prize pools will offer players over $4,000,000 in guaranteed cash, which is sure to make some internet poker players very rich people. As if the $4 million-plus isn’t enough money, Ultimate Bet is also offering a side contest where an online poker player who cashes in at least 11 tournaments will be given an additional $1,000,000. That’s right, if you can cash in the most tournaments during UBOC5 (11 minimum), you will win $1 million!

Some of the poker games that will be offered in UBOC5 include texas poker, Omaha, Mixed Hold’em, Heads-Up, and 6-Max. As mentioned before, the championship will offer $1 million in guaranteed money along with the chance to play poker hands against Phil Hellmuth. Wouldn’t it be great to read Hellmuth’s whiny chat box messages after busting him out of the tourney?

Those interested in playing in UBOC5 should know that satellites and free poker tournaments have already started for the event. Of course, you can also wait until the scheduled starting times of each tournament and just buy directly in. Also keep in mind that you’ll be collecting 30% in rakeback money while playing satellites and regular UBOC tourneys.

As if we didn’t have enough machines to take our money. Normally we are quite happy feeding the slots and poker machines as we do have a lot of fun and may actually win in the process, but I really have to draw a big line when it comes to my bank ATM getting in on the act!

Gamblers in Vegas were all hit hard by the ATM gremlins as the glitch infiltrated several ATM machines around the city resulting in as many as 40,000 transactions being affected. Customers were going to the machine and using their cards as they normally do and all went fine till the machine was supposed to issue the cash. The machine didn’t pay out. So as any self-respecting bank account owner would do, they tried again. Still no cash!

Shrugging off the event as a machine error and putting it to the back of their minds was the typical response. However, customers were in for a nasty shock when they checked their balances with their bank. The machines had been debiting the cash but not issuing the funds!

As you can imagine this caused quite a few tempers to flare around the city and in bank branches. It seems that the glitch is not actually caused by the account holder’s bank, but instead is a problem that has occurred with the ATM operator GCA that owns most of the ATM’s in Vegas city casinos. To add insult to injury the ATM machines have also been charging customers a fee for the supposed cash withdrawal!

A spokesman for GCA has offered his most sincere apologies and that all funds will be re-credited to account holders bank accounts. The glitch has been blamed on an interface between the machines and visa authorising system. Thankfully the promise of refund has appeased many players.

Just goes to show that the cult movie was right. Don’t feed the (ATM) gremlins after midnight or you’re in for trouble!!!

If you want to guarantee you’ll get cash back, sign up for rakeback at the top poker rooms.
