The hit single ‘Poker Face’ was nominated for five Grammys this year and scooped two for artist Lady Gaga. The award ceremony opened with the Lady herself and Elton John singing a duet in some ’interesting’ costumes.

‘Poker Face’ took the title for Record of the Year and Best Dance Recording. And Lada Gaga’s album ‘The Fame’, from which ‘Poker Face’ was taken, also won Best Electronic/Dance Album.

The album was released in September 2008, with the ‘Poker Face’ track instantly bolstering the popularity of poker across America.
