Skrill (Moneybookers) sponsors European Poker Tour

The payment provider Skrill, formerly called Moneybokers, and offered as a payment solution from RakeTheRake, has become the Official Payment Provider Sponsor of the European Poker Tour Season 8, which began last week in Tallinn, Estonia. Skril is the third brand to sponsor GPTL’s poker tours in 2011, joining playing cards manufacturer Copag and luxury jeweller Shamballa Jewels. RakeTheRake’s friend Liv Boeree wins Record EPT Event

The European Poker Tour rebounded quite well after robbers broke into the Berlin poker tournament and stole well over $300,000.  1,239 people made their way to the EPT San Remo event via direct buy-ins and online poker room satellites.  The 1,239 players broke a record for an EPT event held on European soil, and created a €6 million-plus prize pool.
