UK poker beauty Liv Boeree put her astrophysics degree to good use recently on a special Christmas episode of the BBC’s University Challenge. The European Poker Tour rebounded quite well after robbers broke into the Berlin poker tournament and stole well over $300,000.  1,239 people made their way to the EPT San Remo event via direct buy-ins and online poker room satellites.  The 1,239 players broke a record for an EPT event held on European soil, and created a €6 million-plus prize pool.
