Were You Dealt the Worst Hand Ever?
Have you ever had that annoying player at your table who blames their loss on having been dealt the absolute worst hand ever? Pouty poker players are the worst kind and if you know what the worst hand ever really is you can quickly correct them, as most likely they weren’t actually dealt the worst hand ever, and get back to the game. Some would argue that the worst hand ever has simply got to be the 7-2. Sure, the 7-2 is undoubtedly an awful hand no one ever wants to find themselves holding but it is not the worst …

Poker players wearing sunglasses has been a stereotype within casino poker for years. Negreanu recently spoke of his disdain for sunglasses on the popular holdem poker show High Stakes Poker. He basically said sunglasses hurt the game, and that sunglasses aren’t needed to learn how to play poker. Poker Player sentenced to play more Poker or go to Prison
Most poker players don’t need a judge to tell them they have to play poker. After all, there’s lots of money in both casino and online poker, and who doesn’t like winning money? But for professional player Samuel McMaster Jr., he has no choice but to play countless hours of poker after a judge handed him a very unique sentence. The Ladies Take the Lead
We’ve all heard of ladies night but it seems like the poker championship playing field of 2010 might be shaping up to be ladies year. For starters, the NBC Heads Up Championship spot was taken home by Annie Duke who may have been inspired by her fellow heroine Vanessa Rousso’s runner-up finish the year before. Early April saw Liv Boeree take it all in the EPT San Remo which featured the largest EPT main-event field in all of the competition’s history; and last but certainly not least, Vanessa Selbst did some serious damage to the competition at the NAPT Mohegan …

The North Pole Poker Championships (NCCP) was surely coined by someone or a group of people desperate for a new and interesting way to engage in their favorite occupation. This is fine and all, if you are determined to have it on your poker resume that you’ve played in one of the coldest places on earth, but environmentalists are …

Very few people ever dream of having their lives disrupted in one way or another by a volcano on the rampage. Now, thanks to a rather tempestuous volcano beneath the Eyjafjallajokull Glacier (yes, that’s a name) in Southeast Iceland, air traffic all over Europe has been grounded by massive amounts of volcanic ash in the atmosphere. As a result, millions of tourists are stranded in countries the world over while the airline business is staggering under the weight of countless hotel bills, grounded flights, loss of revenue and other conundrums such as: what to do with a million disgruntled passengers? …
The Ultimate Answer to an Early Retirement
There are very few people on this planet who have the luxury of being able to retire at the age of 20. Of course, being amongst the lucky few to be born into a multi-millionaire family helps, but for most of us this dream is just that; a dream that will never reach fruition, unless perhaps you posses the cunning skills to become a wizard at the game of poker. This was just the case for immense success story Shaun Deed; a poker player from New York who announced his retirement from the poker tables last year at the ripe …
