Party Poker, which offers one of the best rakeback deals in the world at 40%, has been out of the American online poker market ever since the United States signed the UIGEA into effect in 2006.  However, this four-year hiatus from the US Internet poker market could be over since Party Gaming CEO Jim Ryan made some encouraging statements recently about a potential return.  Ryan believes that the United States is serious about overturning the UIGEA because the game actually involves lots of poker strategy and skill when compared to other forms of gambling.  He spoke on the matter by …

UK Gambling Commission Cracking down on Cheshire Pub

A new bill to override the UIGEA?

A new bill that would advance the legalization and regulation (and taxation) of online gambling in the United States on a national scale has been introduced to U.S. Congress by Senators Judd Gregg and Ron Wyden. The bill, S3108, or the Bipartisan Tax Fairness and Simplification Act, is, on the surface, an ambitious effort to overhaul a great deal of tax laws and regulations in the United States.
