Doyle Brunson

Nicknamed "The Godfather of Poker", Doyle Brunson is an American professional poker player who is one of the primary players responsible for the emergence and popularity of Texas Hold’em as the current poker game of choice, as well as for poker's popularity in Las Vegas overall. He also invented the concept of a poker training book with his publication of Doyle Brunson's Super/System in the late 1970's.

Brunson has won ten World Series of Poker events and is a best-selling author of poker titles. He was also voted the #1 most influential force in the world of poker by BLUFF magazine in 2006.

His son Todd Brunson is also a well-known professional poker player, and his daughter is also emerging as a powerful poker player in her own right.
