Final 27 Battle it out for WSOP $10,000

After starting out with more than 6,000 players, the 2008 World Series of Poker $10,000 No-Limit Hold ’em has now toned down to the final 27 at the end of Day 6. The payout figure crossed the six figure mark, but what was even more attractive to the players was the fact that they had made it to a big event in the second most prestigious WSOP of all time.

Dennis Phillips was in the lead in the final 27 with only a very slight lead over Craig Marquis. Ironically, he is the oldest player of the 27, the rest all being in their 20s. The other players to watch out for are online poker player and college student Craig Marquis. Also, about 10 years later, a woman has made it to the final table. The last time it was Barbara Enright who finished fifth in 1995. This year it could be Tiffany Michelle, the only woman remaining.

After a very exciting day of poker on WSOP Day 6, day 7 is awaited with bated breaths. It will determine the players for the final table. Also, with the actual final table poker coming up on November 9th, it will be the final day of WSOP summer. It all rests on Day 7.
