And Greenstein just captured his second Sunday Billion title in the past five weeks. 2011 Poker Hall of Fame – Barry Greenstein, Linda Johnson

Barry Greenstein and Linda Johnson were already legends in the poker world, and needed no validation from anybody. However, they certainly aren’t complaining after being the only two inductees in the 2011 Poker Hall of Fame class. Besides Johnson and Greenstein, the full list of nominees included Annie Duke, Huck Seed, Jack McClelland, Jennifer Harman-Traniello, John Juanda, Marcel Luske, Scotty Nguyen and Tom McEvoy. Considering some of the poker tournament legends on this list, it was certainly an honor to be selected for the Poker Hall of Fame in 2011. Full Tilt Pros missing from Seventh Season of High Stakes Poker

The good news is that we don’t have to wait long for the next season of High Stakes Poker because the seventh season begins on February 26th. The bad news is that several notable Full Tilt Poker pros won’t be involved this time around. It’s been reported that popular players like Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Ilari Sahamies, Eli Elezra and Patrick Antonius won’t be appearing in any High Stakes Poker episodes. The reason why is because they’re all signed by Full Tilt, and PokerStars has taken over as the official sponsor of High Stakes Poker. And even though their 27% …

James Bord wins 2010 WSOPE Main Event

Many of poker’s biggest names were among the 346 players who took part in the 2010 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event.  Phil Ivey, Roland De Wolfe, Barry Greenstein, and Freddy Deeb were just a few of the many stars in attendance at this poker tournament.  Interestingly enough, only Roland De Wolfe was still around on the final poker table when the tournament hung in the balance. Wolfe busted out in fourth place though leaving the door wide open for relative unknown James Bord to win his first major poker tournament.  Bord certainly didn’t look to be the favorite …

Cloutier, Barry Greenstein, Eli Elezra, Daniel Alaei, Erick Lindgren, David Williams, David “Chino” Rheem, and of …

High Stakes Poker Ratings Up, Quiets Critics

Despite having success in its first five seasons, the super-popular poker show High Stakes Poker decided to make a big change by dropping the witty A.J. Benza from the commentator booth and replacing him with the sultry Kara Scott.  When the move was made, people immediately started criticizing the Game Show Network producers who made the decision, and some online poker rooms even considered pulling their advertising. Well it’s a good thing those Internet poker rooms didn’t make a hasty decision because High Stakes Poker’s ratings are actually up in Season 6.  In fact, they’ve soared above Season 5 with …
