Fox Sports completes Deal with PokerStars

PokerStars recently signed a deal with Fox Sports to offer a free poker room on FoxSports.com.  In addition to the poker room, PokerStars will also offer several other services such as poker rules, poker strategy, and poker news. Popular speculation is that FoxSports.com made this deal so that they could compete with ESPN.com, which leads all mainstream online sports sites in poker content.  Now Fox Sports has the benefit of having the world’s largest online poker room providing content for them.   The obvious benefit to PokerStars is that they get to advertise their brand name on a mainstream sports website.  …

James Bord wins 2010 WSOPE Main Event

Many of poker’s biggest names were among the 346 players who took part in the 2010 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event.  Phil Ivey, Roland De Wolfe, Barry Greenstein, and Freddy Deeb were just a few of the many stars in attendance at this poker tournament.  Interestingly enough, only Roland De Wolfe was still around on the final poker table when the tournament hung in the balance. Dwyte Pilgrim earns WPT Borgata Win

Dwyte Pilgrim may not be a household name among casual poker fans, but he has slowly become a force in the casino poker world.  Some excellent WSOP* Circuit finishes and a host of other poker tournament cashes have put Pilgrim on the map.  And his place on the map just got a little bigger after he recently won the WPT Borgata Main Event. UBOC5 will give out over $4 Million in Guaranteed Money
