GGPoker WSOP Online Recap

The event is available to international players and players from Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and of course Nevada, it wouldn’t be a WSOP event without some relation to Las Vegas!

There are still over 20 more events left to go, including the No Limit Holdem events, high roller events, and the fall finale later in October.

First, we will start with a quick recap of the GGPoker WSOP online series events that have come to an end, in case you missed anything.

Event #1: $400 NLH Kick-Off: Ori “try2trick” Hasson won the first Online Bracelet of the series with this event. After 11 hours of playing, Hasson outlasted 474 players (including Daniel “Dnegs” Negreanu) with 281 rebuys, creating a prize pool of $21,8000.

Event #2: $500 NLH Monster Stack: “Rfrruner” is the winner of this event, winning a total of $64,590 in a head-up play against Aditya “Roronoa” Sadhu.

Event #3: $3,200 NLH High Roller: The 99-entry event lead to a total prize pool of $376,960 when 74 players rebought into the event 25 times! However, Drew “dudeguydrew” took the crown during the event winning $96,087.

Event #4: $1,000 PLO 6-Max: Soheb “TommyConway6” Porbandarwala won his first ever gold bracelet in this event, winning a huge $57,125 to go with it.

Event #5: $500 NLH Turbo Deepstack: “ccast93” was victorious in even #5, winning the top prize of $44,704. The unknown player was able to top the likes of Kathy “Luckygal” Liebert and Danie Negreanu.

Event #6: $800 NLH Ultra Deepstack: Vito “thesuitbig29” Distefano won in a heads-up play against Michael “slitwalk” Mercaldo, winning $57,355.

Event #7: $365 NLH: Jeremy “Chipchecka” Ausmus won his first WSOP online bracelet, adding to his in-person collection of bracelets. He went heads-up against Nick “CashUsKlay” Schulman, giving Ausmus a total of $51,807 in the event.

Event #8: $1,00 NLH 6-Max: 384 players entered this event, but Jesse “Dangerous22” Lonis came out on top, winning a big sum of $73,370.

Main highlights

There have been lots of amazing events throughout the online poker tournament so far, but some are more notable than others.

$2,100 Bounty NLH Championship

This series’ NLH bounty was a huge hit, reaching a record 986 entries, with a total prize pool of $1,970,000.

“Winner51” was victorious this year, collecting $91,479 bounties, and reaching a prize of $171,122!

“WouldIlieToYOU”, was not far off winning a total of $135,683.

$1,050 GGMasters HR Freezeout NLH

Mario Navarro received his first ever WSOP Online Bracelet during the GGMaster event, where he received his biggest payout of $288,507, which at the time was the highest score of the whole series.

Navarro managed to top 2,372 players that entered the event, including the likes of Elio Fox and Anatoly Filatov.

WSOP Ladies Championship

On Saturday night, the final table for the $500 Ladies Championship took place, with Huanhua “King-Dong” Long being crowned the winner.

The final table saw a head-up between Long taking on Vanessa “Niffler” Kade, who took on a bad beat with QQ V 88.

This year's event was huge, with 362 entries bringing the prize pool to $171,950, the top 62 players received a prize of $847 or more.

This year’s WSOP Ladies Championship event winner at Paris, Las Vegas, Jessica Teusl lost her luck in 25th place.

$1,500 Fifty Stack Bounty NLH

After waiting 9 years to win his 3rd WSOP bracelet, Mark Radoja won the $1,500 Fifty Stack Bounty No-Limit Holdem, and it was an impressive win.

After defeating Justus “taxidriver” Held in a heads-up, Rodoja walked away with $94,460 as his prize and $119,049 in bounties!

Rodja outlasted 1,597 entries that brought the prize pool up to a huge $2,275,275.

$400 buy-in COLOSSUS

Despite being a fairly small buy-in compared to some high-stakes tournaments, the COLOSSUS tournament had a vast prize pool guarantee of $3 million, which eventually reached $3,793,840 after 20 starting flights.

There were 10,090 entries for this event but only 1,479 made it to the final stage. Mauricio-Pais “SlimLady” Ferreira was undefeated and name champion, winning the highest prize so far of $378,508.
