Everything is possible in this case . First online games starts to be in 1994 or 1996 and in present is a billions industry . Probably bigger than lands casinos .Anyway , as our evolution is in process and we replaced many things from outdoor to indoor , and the evolution is really fast ,the online gambling will take ahead , but places as Las vegas or Maccau will never die.

With 2050 a lifetime away and the rate of technology things are going to be very interesting from now til then. But lets be completely honest with ourselves there is nothing like sitting across the table with a huge stack triing to find a tell looking for that spot to pull the bluff of all bluffs ....cause when you really think about it online your just a statistic looking at % of pot vs possible outs while some just straight out play bingo poker ..so I'm a true believer that while your can train for the number game online there is nothing that can train you like looking into the eyes of a stone cold grinder....

I for one play much more aggressive and stand my ground online. Seems like live im more timid and seem to get run over, which works to my advantage also. You just have to know how to use your table image to your advantage either way. Live games people are just so loose and aggressive.

by 2050, the technology for online poker would have evolved, perhaps (and not highly unlikely) there will be equipment and hardware which would make the experience a lot more vivid. However I think that face to face poker will still be around kicking hard, both online poker and face to face will be big industries by then, but online poker has the bigger potential to grow simply because the access to it is so much easier, broad, and accessible to a wider audience. Lifting legal ground will be crucial for the industry specially from important markets.

People will always like to play live because of many reasons one of them being the feel of chips for example... Besides there are several pieces of edge that you can get while playing a face2face game. People knowing proper tricks simply won't give up on live play.

Anyway online poker industry will grow for sure and this growth will be very rapid in the coming years...
