10 Players win over $100k in One Day

If there was any doubt that online poker has plenty of money to go around, those doubts were erased on April 26th.  That’s because April 26th saw 10 different players win over $100,000 across several Internet poker tournaments.

This day of big winning was headlined by the PokerStars Sunday Million tournament where Paul “147_star” Williams took first place and earned a prize of $258,194.  Williams wasn’t the only big winner in the Sunday Million holdem poker event though since “Benjamin89” and “the_blues57” also had 6-figure paydays.  Runner-up Benjamin89 cashed for $188,684 and the_blues57 made $131,640 for taking third place.

And while seeing 6-figure winners in PokerStars’ Sunday Million poker tournament is pretty common, what made so many people big winners on this day was the Full Tilt Poker FTOPS.  By the end of event #9 in FTOPS, four players were willing to make online poker deals to bring the tourney to a conclusion. The end result was “betrthanphil” ($193,803), Igor “MagicGog” Bakay ($141,791), “jotslexx” ($119,660), and “woj422” ($120,473) all hitting huge paydays.

The remaining two players who earned over $100,000 were back on PokerStars where a Sunday Warm-up event took place.  The top finisher here was “Timvd19” who made $141,192 for winning; his closest competitor in “z 0 0 t s” cashed for $104,850 after taking second place.

Besides featuring a combined 10 players who earned over $100,000 in a single day, PokerStars and Full Tilt also ran plenty of satellites for the WSOP.  Full Tilt’s satellites are of particular interest since some of them are as cheap as $1.  And as long as you know how to play poker, you can participate in these satellites and have a chance to win a $12,000 prize package for Las Vegas.  You can also take advantage of Full Tilt’s 27% rakeback deals too!
