PokerStars releases New WCOOP Schedule

A lot of online poker players are still trying to figure out what to do with all of the cash they made in the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP).  The 2010 SCOOP, which took place in April and May, gave out over $63 million to internet poker players with the Main Event alone offering over $6 million.  What’s amazing is that the 2010 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) might give out even more money than the SCOOP did.

PokerStars recently released the schedule for the WCOOP, which includes 62 tournaments.  Considering last year’s event awarded a total of $50 million to holdem poker players in only 45 tournaments, many think the 2010 WCOOP could be the biggest online poker event of all time.  Perhaps the 2009 WCOOP Main Event’s prize pool of $10.7 million might even be surpassed!

The first poker tournament of the WCOOP will happen on September 5th at 1:00 pm ET when a $215 No-Limit Hold’em 6-max event is held.  In addition to the kickoff texas poker tournament, there will also be a $10,300 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller tournament at 3:00 pm ET, and a $215 No-Limit Hold’em Two-Day tournament at 5:00 pm ET..

After the opening day of the WCOOP, PokerStars will continue to hold 2 or 3 tournaments nearly every day until September 26th.  Included among the poker games that will be played are Hold’em, Omaha, Razz, Stud, Mixed Hold’em, Badugi, HORSE, and Triple Draw.

Players who sign up at PokerStars now will have a chance to build their bankroll so they can enter some of these big tournaments at PokerStars.  In addition to the tourneys, you will also be able to take advantage of the great online poker deals at PokerStars.  All that needs to be done to start playing at PokerStars is a quick download of the poker software.
