PokerStars Poker Tournament worth $10 Million

While most people are content to celebrate their 10th anniversary by putting on wrinkled dress clothes and dining at a fancy restaurant they can’t afford, PokerStars has a little something better in mind. They plan to celebrate their anniversary by holding a $10 million guaranteed poker tournament on December 18th, where the winner will receive $2 million. In addition to this, they’ll also be giving out 100 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure prize packages that are valued at $15,000 each.

Beginning with the $10 million tournament, this will technically be the December 18th Sunday Million event, which begins at 14:30 ET. The direct buy-in for this tourney will be $215, which is surprisingly low for an event with this much money involved. What’s nice is that anybody can get involved in the action too because there’ll also be satellites with buy-ins as little as $1, and Frequent Player Point qualifiers too. One additional way online poker players can enter the $10m tourney is through an $11 mega satellite that will give away 1,000 seats.

Moving to the 2012 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure prize packages, Stars will be running free poker qualifiers every 10 minutes, and each qualifier leads to the Weekly Final tournaments. Two Weekly Final tournaments run each weekend from November 13th to December 11th, and every tourney will give away 10 PCA packages valued at $15,000. If you want to play in smaller fields to make the Weekly Final, there are also going to be low buy-in and FPPs satellites running too.

Assuming you won a prize package, your $10k buy-in for the 2012 PCA Main Event would be covered along with hotel/travel expenses. And this is a pretty good deal considering that the 2011 PCA offered a massive $15,132,000 prize pool; American Galen Hall won the largest share of this prize pool at $2.3 million.

Those who want the chance to follow in Hall’s footsteps through a $15k PCA prize package, and/or want to play in the $10 million online poker tournament should sign up at PokerStars through RakeTheRake. Not only will you get a 100% up $600 bonus, but you can also get free poker training.
